DART Privacy Policy

DART International UK is a registered Charity that provides teams of rapid response, qualified and experienced arborists, equipped to support disaster relief operations worldwide.  This privacy policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you when you use this website.

What information do we collect about you and how do we use that information?

When you initially register with us as a volunteer, we collect information that will allow us to make an initial assessment of how we might use your offer of support and, if appropriate, your professional suitability as a potential DART Response Team volunteer.  We will also collect contact information that will allow us to invite you to volunteer training, fundraising events or other volunteering opportunities.

We will only collect information necessary to manage your initial registration with DART via this website.  If you decide to become more involved with the Charity, you will be asked to provide further information appropriate to your engagement with training, overseas deployment and other volunteer activities.

On successful completion of pre-deployment training, volunteers may be required to undergo Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Checks.

DART International UK will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.  We will only ever share our volunteers’ personal details with other organisations when it’s necessary and appropriate to do so.  We might, for example, pass relevant information to a travel insurance broker, an airline company or other trusted operational partners in order to facilitate an individual’s involvement in a specific disaster relief deployment.

Your details will never be shared with the media without your express permission.

You have the right to contact us at any time if you no longer wish to be considered a DART volunteer and would like your information removed from our data base.
